Know exactly what’s eating your disk

DiskCheck maps every gigabyte across treemaps, sunbursts, and more — so you can spot the bloat in seconds. Clean up safely with Recycle Bin deletes, never permanent ones.

See your storage, your way

Click through the same visualization modes you’ll use in the app — list, treemap, sunburst, and more.

What it actually does

A disk analyzer that shows you the data, gets out of the way, and doesn't delete anything you can't recover.

Six views, one scan

List, Treemap, Sunburst, Bubbles, Flame graph, File Types — all showing the same data from a single scan. Switch between them instantly. Whichever makes the pattern obvious is the right one.

Scan fast, cancel whenever

Live progress as the scan runs. Changed your mind? Cancel mid-scan and keep whatever results are already in. You're never stuck watching a progress bar you regret starting.

Color tells the story

Every view uses the same file-type color scheme — video, image, document, archive, and so on. Spot the category eating your disk without reading a single label.

Click anything, get the details

Select a file or folder in any view and a details panel shows its path, size, and file count. Copy the path, add it to a cleanup batch, or delete it — right there, no digging through Finder or Explorer.

Delete to the Recycle Bin, always

Nothing is permanently deleted. Every file goes to the Recycle Bin first. Mistakes are recoverable. This is the one thing a disk cleanup tool absolutely has to get right.

Handles the messy cases

Permission-restricted system folders don't crash the scan — they're skipped and reported. A single 50 GB file doesn't make everything else invisible. The edge cases other tools choke on are handled here.

Common questions

No. $14.99 once, and it's yours. There are no recurring charges, no annual renewals, and no feature gates tied to a plan. You get the full app.

It goes to your Recycle Bin (or Trash on Mac). Nothing is permanently deleted. If you realize you removed the wrong file, just restore it the way you normally would. Disk cleanup tools that permanently delete files on the first click are asking for trouble — DiskCheck doesn't do that.

Not yet. DiskCheck currently runs on Windows only. A Mac version is something we'd like to build, but it's not available today and we don't have a timeline for it. We'd rather be upfront about that than vague.

Yes. The app isn't code-signed yet, which means Windows SmartScreen will flag it the first time you run it. This happens with every unsigned application, regardless of what it does. To get past it: click "More info" on the warning dialog, then click "Run anyway." Code signing is planned for a future update, which will remove this prompt entirely.

One device at a time. If you move to a new computer, open the app on your old machine and use the deactivate option to free up the license, then activate on the new one. If you no longer have access to the old machine, email us and we'll sort it out.
